For the Dreamer family, living in the heart of the Australian suburbs, their home is their universe. Mr. and Mrs. Dreamer have invested in many state-of-the-art-environmentally-friendly energy-efficient systems for the house. Their inventive and imaginative child, Dreamer, has created a number of robotic devices to help with household chores, including a toy robot duck that can temporarily transform any room into another part of the world.



So when the nearby supermarket proposes to convert their suburban dream into a car-park, the Dreamers are determined to resist. A gang of shopping trolleys under the control of the supermarket manager, Mr. Cashin, wages an attack on the Dreamer home. But the trolleys are confronted with more than they bargained for in the enchanted world of the Dreamers.
